An Abstract Tableau Calculus for the Description Logic SHOI Using UnrestrictedBlocking and Rewriting

Abstract This paper presents an abstract tableau calculus for the description logic SHOI. SHOI is the extension of ALC with singleton concepts, role inverse, transitive roles and role inclusion axioms. The presented tableau calculus is inspired by a recently introduced tableau synthesis framework. Termination is achieved by a variation of the unrestricted blocking mechanism that immediately rewrites terms with respect to the conjectured equalities. This approach leads to reduced search space for decision procedures based on the calculus. We also discuss restrictions of the application of the blocking rule by means of additional side conditions and/or additional premises.

Is periodontitis associated with obstructive sleep apnea? A systematic review and meta-analysis

There are conflicting results on the association between periodontitis and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). In the present study, we performed a contemporaneous systematic review and meta-analysis to clarify this issue. We also tried to find out whether pe

Medicinal uses and chemistry of flavonoid contents of some common edible tropical plants

    Get PDF
Flavonoids are wide range of phytochemical with various pharmacological effects including antioxidant, anti-inflammation, anti-platelet, anti-allergic, cytotoxicity, reduce risk for heart disease or cancer etc. These flavonoids inhibited various enzymes such as prostaglandin synthase, lypoxygenase, cyclooxygenase, and induced detoxifying enzyme systems such as glutathione S-transferase. Flavonoids have significant vitamin C sparing activity and powerful antioxidants than the traditional vitamins such as quercetin, myricetin, rutin and apigenin. In vegetables, quercetin glycosides predominate, but glycosides of kaempferol, luteolin, and apigenin are also present. Fruits exclusively contain quercetin glycosides, whereas kaempferol and myricetin glycosides are found only in trace quantities. In this article we mainly discussed on three major flavonols (kaempferol, quercetin, and myricetin) and two major flavones (luteolin and apigenin) of edible tropical plants.

HyMo: Vulnerability Detection in Smart Contracts using a Novel Multi-Modal Hybrid Model

With blockchain technology rapidly progress, the smart contracts have become a common tool in a number of industries including finance, healthcare, insurance and gaming. The number of smart contracts has multiplied, and at the same time, the security of smart contracts has drawn considerable attention due to the monetary losses brought on by smart contract vulnerabilities. Existing analysis techniques are capable of identifying a large number of smart contract security flaws, but they rely too much on rigid criteria established by specialists, where the detection process takes much longer as the complexity of the smart contract rises. In this paper, we propose HyMo as a multi-modal hybrid deep learning model, which intelligently considers various input representations to consider multimodality and FastText word embedding technique, which represents each word as an n-gram of characters with BiGRU deep learning technique, as a sequence processing model that consists of two GRUs to achieve higher accuracy in smart contract vulnerability detection. The model gathers features using various deep learning models to identify the smart contract vulnerabilities. Through a series of studies on the currently publicly accessible dataset such as ScrawlD, we show that our hybrid HyMo model has excellent smart contract vulnerability detection performance. Therefore, HyMo performs better detection of smart contract vulnerabilities against other approaches

Developing a competitive and sustainable model for the future of a destination:Iran’s tourism competitiveness

    Get PDF
International audienceAs one of the most ancient and attractive tourism destinations in the Middle East and South Asia, Iran seeks to maximize its competitive identity to compete more effectively at international level. This study examines the major factors influencing Iran’s competitive identity as a tourism destination from a supply-side perspective. The paper is divided into two phases using qualitative and quantitative techniques. First, we determined Iran’s major competitiveness factors using thematic content analysis. Second, we examined the relationships between the identified factors, Iran’s competitive identity, and its international tourism market development. The findings of this study suggest that factors including information technology, politics, products and services, spatial and infrastructure, structure and organization, economic and sociocultural factors significantly impact the destination’s competitive identity. This paper also outlines the key theoretical and practical implications of this study

A survey on wireless mesh networks: architecture, specifications and challenges

    Get PDF
Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is an emerging and practical wireless solution for metropolitan area networks to provide community broadband Internet access services by organizing and configuring nodes in the network efficiently and dynamically. In this survey, the concept of wireless mesh network has been described briefly as an emerging technology to provide Internet in large areas. Accordingly, the architecture of these networks has been explained regarding to the client meshing backbone, characteristics and advantages of wireless mesh networks have been specified, and the performance of different layers in during communication in these networks has been described. In addition, due to the performance of wireless mesh networks various issues and challenges are raised. Thus, these challenges have been specified in this paper and related research areas were proposed to solve defined challenges

Synthesising and Implementing Tableau Calculi for Interrogative Epistemic Logics

    Get PDF
This paper presents a labelled tableau approach for deciding interrogative-epistemic logics (IEL). Tableau calculi for these logics have been derived using a recently introduced tableau synthesis method. We also consider an extension of the framework for a setting with questioning modalities over sequences of formulae called sequential questioning logic (SQL). We have implemented the calculi using two approaches. The first implementation has been obtained with the tableau prover generation software MetTeL 2, while the other implementation is a prover implemented in Haskell.
